August 18, 1997 - The earliest known routing of route 136 traveled from Chandler-Gilbert Community College, along Pecos Rd, Gilbert Rd, Civic Center Dr, Warner Rd, then back on Gilbert Rd, looping around Brown Rd, Lindsay Rd, and McDowell Rd. Select trips continued along Brown Rd to serve Falcon Field Airport and McDonnell Douglas (now Boeing) at McDowell Rd & Higley Rd
March 19, 2000 - Short trips to Baseline Rd introduced, with a turnaround loop serving Jacinto Ave, 24th St, and Baseline Rd
