- January 28, 2008 - Route 17A introduced, traveling from McDowell Rd & Litchfield Rd, along McDowell Rd, up 75th Ave and Thomas Rd to Desert Sky Mall Transit Center
- July 26, 2010 - Western end of the route extended down Litchfield Rd to Test Dr
- July 23, 2012 - Eastern end of the route rerouted to use 83rd Ave instead of 75th Ave to access Desert Sky Transit Center
- January 27, 2014 - Route replaced by an extension of route 17
