- September 1996 - Route 184 initially created, traveling from the East Mesa Senior Center, along Decatur St, down Power Rd, to Superstition Springs Transit Center, then along Hampton Ave, Clearview Ave, Superstition Springs Blvd, and Baseline Rd to Sunland Village East. Northbound trips also traveled down Broadway Rd to Sossaman Rd
- January 14, 2002 - Route eliminated
- January 24, 2011 - Route 184 reintroduced, traveling from Arizona State University Polytechnic Campus to Mesa Community College at Red Mountain
- October 24, 2011 - Northern end of the route extended to the new Power Rd Park and Ride
- April 27, 2020 - Deviation to Mesa Community College at Red Mountain was eliminated
