History

- August 18, 1997 - Route 19 traveled from Central Station in the south, along Washington St/Jefferson St and up 19th Ave to Rose Garden Lane
- January 14, 2002 - The northern end of the route was extended north along 19th Ave and Deer Valley Rd to Deer Valley Airport and the southern end of the route was extended down 19th Ave and Baseline Rd to Cesar Chavez High School
- January 22, 2007 - Route 19 was temporarily rerouted onto 15th Ave between Campbell Ave and Missouri Ave due to light rail construction
- July 23, 2007 - The northern end of the route was extended up 19th Ave to Pinnacle Peak Rd, with alternating trips continuing to service the branch to Deer Valley Airport
- December 29, 2008 - Route 19 returned to 19th Ave between Campbell and Missouri when the light rail opened
- January 23, 2012 - The southern end of the route was truncated from Cesar Chavez High School to the new 27th Ave/Baseline Park and Ride
- January 28, 2013 - Additional light rail construction led to route 19 being rerouted onto 7th Ave between Bethany Home Rd and Dunlap Ave, with route 19C temporarily continuing service along the construction corridor
- January 27, 2014 - The branch along Deer Valley Rd to Deer Valley Airport was replaced by an extension to route 7
- October 26, 2015 - Service along 19th Ave between Bethany Home Rd and Dunlap Ave was restored with the opening of the light rail extension and route 19C was eliminated
- October 23, 2017 - The northern end of the route was extended along Pinnacle Peak Rd and 23rd Ave to Happy Valley Rd
- January 27, 2025 - The northern terminus was modified to use bus stops on the northeast and southwest corners of the intersection instead of having buses loop around to use the bus stop on the southeast corner of 23rd Ave & Happy Valley Rd
