Route 46 was the Mesa section of bus service on Broadway Rd. The route traveled from 1st Ave & Dobson Rd near Tri-City Mall, down Dobson Rd, along Broadway Rd, Recker Rd, Baywood Ave, Power Rd, and Hampton Ave, ending at Superstition Springs Transit Center. Westbound trips also deviated up Center St to serve the Mesa Senior Center.

- August 1992 - Route 46 introduced, replacing the old Mesa Sunrunner Green route
- August 18, 1997 - The earliest known routing of route 46 traveled from the Tri-City Mall at Dobson Rd & Main St, down Dobson Rd, Broadway Rd, Recker Rd, Baywood Ave, Power Rd, and Hampton Ave, ending at Superstition Springs Transit Center. Westbound trips deviated on Center St up to University Dr, MacDonald, and 3rd Pl to serve the Mesa Senior Center
- 1999? - Around this time, route 46's western terminus was moved to 1st Ave & Dobson Rd due to construction at the former Tri-City Mall
- March 19, 2000 - Route 46 merged into route 45
