History
Phoenix Sky Train construction began in December 2008 and was finished on April 8, 2013, allowing for the replacement of shuttle buses across the airport. The first phase of the Sky Train traveled from Terminal 4 to 44th St. Phase 1a, opened on December 8, 2014, extending the train from Terminal 4 to Terminal 3, with a walkway connecting Terminal 3 Station to Terminal 2 until it closed in 2020. Phase 2 extended the Sky Train out to West Economy Parking and the Rental Car Center, opening on December 20, 2022.
