Route 131, START (Southwest Transit and Regional Transportation), served Goodyear, Avondale, and the surrounding areas, traveling from Estrella Mountain Community College, down Thomas Rd, Dysart Rd, McDowell Rd, Litchfield Rd, Van Buren St, Central Ave, Western Ave, Dysart Rd, MC 85, 4th St, Lower Buckeye Rd, Avondale Blvd, Durango St, 111th Ave, 4th St, 109th Ave, 2nd St, back on 111th Ave, then on Buckeye Rd, back on Avondale Blvd, then onto Coldwater Springs Blvd, ending at the Avondale Civic Center when it was eliminated in 2011.

- January 10, 2000 - Route 131 introduced, traveling from Honeysuckle St & Desert Ave in Litchfield Park, serving Estrella Mountain Community College, eastern Goodyear and Old Town Avondale, Goodyear Airport, Tolleson city offices, and ending at Desert Sky Mall Transit Center
- March 19, 2001 - Service to Goodyear Airport eliminated
- July 26, 2004 - Route modified to serve the new Avondale Civic Center, diverting from the previous route from 109th Ave, onto 2nd St, 111th Ave, Buckeye Rd, 115th Ave, and Coldwater Springs Blvd into the Avondale Civic Center, then going back up 115th Ave and along Van Buren St to resume its previous routing at 99th Ave
- January 24, 2005 - Western end of the route modified to no longer loop around Honeysuckle St and Old Litchfield Rd, but travel bi-directionally along Desert Ave instead
- July 23, 2007 - Western end rerouted to travel down Desert Ave, Wigwam Blvd, Litchfield Rd, and Thomas Rd to Estrella Mountain Community College
- December 29, 2008 - Western end truncated to Estrella Mountain Community College
- January 25, 2010 - Eastern end truncated to Avondale Civic Center
