Route 8 travels from Baseline Rd & Central Ave, to 7th Ave, then up to Dunlap Ave and over to Sunnyslope Transit Center. Route 8 also serves Central Station/Downtown Phoenix and St. Joseph's Hospital.

History

It seems route 8 hasn't changed very much over time. The current route is the same as the oldest version of the route I can find from around 2000. The southern end of the route was truncated from Baseline Rd & Central Ave to Baseline Rd & 7th Ave in January 2012, but it was extended back to Central Ave when the Ed Pastor Transit Center deviation was eliminated in October 2021. Also, in October 2018, the route was adjusted slightly to stop outside of Central Station instead of inside.
