I believe route 108 was created on August 18, 1997, traveling from San Marcos & Chilton Dr in Chandler, down Arizona Ave, then along Elliot Rd, up Val Vista Dr, and along Guadalupe Rd, then up Power Rd to the Superstitions Springs Transit Center. On March 19, 2001, route 109 was merged with route 108, extending the western end of the route to ASU Research Park and Arizona Mills Mall in Tempe. On July 22, 2013, the western end of the route was rerouted to 48th St & Chandler Blvd instead of serving Priest Dr and Arizona Mills Mall. Peak service trips were also added to the 40th St/Pecos Rd Park and Ride; however, these trips were eliminated on April 27, 2015. On October 26, 2020, the deviation along San Marcos Pl to Chilton Dr and Arizona Ave was eliminated, streamlining service on Elliot Rd.
