156 Chandler Blvd

Route 156 was originally created on July 1, 1992 and traveled between Dobson Rd & Frye Rd and Chandler-Gilbert Community College, with trips during peak hours traveling to Chandler Blvd & 56th St. At some point between then and August 18, 1997, a deviation was added to Intel at Chandler Blvd & Rural Rd. On January 14, 2002, the western end of the route was extended to Chandler Blvd & Desert Foothills Pkwy. On September 30, 2002, a deviation was added directly to Chandler Fashion Center. On July 23, 2007, the eastern end of the route was extended to Arizona State University Polytechnic Campus. On July 28, 2008, the deviation on Dobson Rd was eliminated. On July 27, 2009, the western end of the route was truncated back to Chandler Blvd & 56th St. On July 26, 2010, the deviations along Frye Rd to Chandler Fashion Center and along Gilbert Rd to Chandler-Gilbert Community College were eliminated. On July 22, 2013, the western end of the route was extended to Chandler Blvd & 48th St. On October 25, 2021, the loop serving Mercy Gilbert Medical Center was modified to use Pecos Rd instead of backtracking on Mercy Rd.
