Route 16 map from 1997
  • August 18, 1997 - The earliest known routing of route 16 traveled from a loop around 16th St, Dobbins Rd, 7th St, and Baseline Rd, up 16th St, along Northern Ave, then up Central Ave, Dunlap Ave, and 3rd St into Sunnyslope Transit Center
  • January 24, 2005 - The southern end of route 16 was modified to loop around Jesse Owens Pkwy, Baseline Rd, and 7th St, then have two-way service along 7th St, Dobbins Rd, and 16th St
  • July 26, 2010 - Northern end extended from Sunnyslope Transit Center, up State Route 51 and 32nd St to Paradise Valley Community College to replace route 32
  • July 23, 2012 - Service to Sunnyslope Transit Center eliminated
  • January 14, 2014 - Southern end rerouted to continue along Dobbins Rd to end at Dobbins Rd & Central Ave
