48 48th Street

Route 48 was created on January 25, 2010, to replace part of route 92 and to provide service to the Tempe Center for the Arts. It originally ran from Arizona Mills Mall, down Priest Dr to Baseline Rd, over to 48th St, up to Broadway Rd, over to 52nd St, then along Rio Salado Pkwy, down Ash Ave, and along 5th Street to the Tempe Transportation Center. On October 27, 2014, the southern end of the route was slightly modified to end outside of Arizona Mills Mall at Baseline Rd & Priest Dr. On October 26, 2015, the northern end of the route was extended from Tempe Transportation Center to Tempe Marketplace. Finally, on October 23, 2023, the northern end was extended again to Mesa Riverview.
