  • March 1, 1993 - Route 186 created, traveling from Union Hills Dr & 59th Ave, along Union Hills Dr, down 40th St, Thunderbird Rd, and Tatum Blvd to Paradise Valley Mall Transit Center
  • August 18, 1997 - By this point the western end had been truncated to Union Hills Dr & 51st Ave
  • March 19, 2000 - Western end extended to Arrowhead Towne Center and eastern end rerouted from Paradise Valley Mall to Phoenix Mayo Hospital (now Mayo Clinic) at Mayo Blvd & 56th St
  • November 5, 2001 - Western end rerouted along 79th Ave instead of 75th Ave to access Arowhead Towne Center
