32 32nd Street

Route 32 was first added to the Valley Metro system on July 14, 2003, as Route 32 Connector. It's intended purpose was to take passengers along 32nd Street from Union Hills Drive to the Shea Blvd/SR 51 (Dreamy Draw) Park and Ride, with the elimination of Express Route 500. When the Valley Metro website got redesigned at the beginning of 2004, "Connector" seemed to have been dropped from the name. Route 32 remained unchanged until December 29, 2008, when it was extended south from the Dreamy Draw Park and Ride, down State Route 51, east on Glendale Ave, south down 24th St, turning east on Camelback Rd, and then finally returning to 32nd St, then traveling down Washington Street before ending at 44th Street. Then, on July 26, 2010, route 32 was eliminated completely, being replaced with extensions to route 10 and route 16. However, on April 25, 2016, route 32 was re-added to the system, running from Camelback Rd to the 44th St/Washington light rail station. On April 23, 2018, route 32 was extended south down 44th St, onto University Dr, to 40th St, then east on Baseline Rd, ending at Priest Dr. Finally, on April 26, 2021, route 32 was truncated from Baseline Rd & Priest Dr to 40th St & Baseline, which is its current routing.
