History
The earliest known routing of route 60 is from 1997, when it traveled from Bethany Home Rd & 43rd Ave, down 16th St to Camelback Rd, and over to Camelback Rd & 24th St. The route was extended to Bethany Home Rd & 83rd Ave on July 23, 2007. On January 28, 2008, the western end was adjusted to serve 83rd Ave & Glendale Ave. On July 23, 2012, the eastern end was truncated to Bethany Home Rd & 16th St. On January 28, 2013, the deviation to Montebello/19th Ave Transit Center was slightly modified to use 15th Ave instead of 19th Ave due to light rail construction. This change was reverted back to normal on October 26, 2015. On October 23, 2017, the western end was truncated back to 83rd Ave & Bethany Home Rd with the introduction of route 83 and the eastern end was extended back to Camelback Rd & 24th St. On April 27, 2020, the eastern loop was modified to streamline service onto Camelback Rd instead of utilizing Missouri Ave, 20th St, and 24th St. Finally, in February 2023, the western end was temporarily extended to the Glendale Park and Ride during Super Bowl LVII.
