Route 76 traveled from Scottsdale Rd & McDowell Rd, up Miller Rd, Osborn Rd, Drinkwater Blvd, Indian School Rd, back up Miller Rd, Jackrabbit Rd, 78th St, McDonald Dr, Granite Reef Rd, and Chaparral Rd, ending at Scottsdale Community College when it was eliminated in 2011.

History
- August 18, 1997 - The earliest known routing of route 76 traveled in a loop from Scottsdale Rd & McDowell Rd by Los Arcos Mall, down McDowell Rd, 74th St, and Roosevelt St, Granite Reef Rd, Osborn Rd, 82nd St, Indian School Rd, back on Granite Reef Rd, and down Chaparral Rd to Scottsdale Community College. From there, the route continued back along Chaparral Rd, Granite Reef Rd, McDonald Dr, 78th St, Jackrabbit Rd, down Miller Rd, diverting to Loloma Station, then continuing back down Miller Rd, and looping back around Los Arcos Mall
- March 1, 1998 - The Granite Reef section of the loop was turned into route 84 and route 76 was converted to bi-directional service traveling from Los Arcos Mall, up Miller Rd, to Loloma Station, then back along Miller Rd, Jackrabbit Rd, 78th St, McDonald Dr, Granite Reef Rd, and Chaparral Rd to Scottsdale Community College
- August 13, 2001 - Southern end of route 76 was extended down Miller Rd, Curry Rd, and Mill Ave, looping around 5th St, College Ave, and University Dr to serve Downtown Tempe. The loop around Los Arcos Mall was eliminated
- December 29, 2008 - Southern end rerouted to continue down Miller Rd and Playa del Norte Dr past Curry Rd, then down Rural Rd, University Dr, and College Ave to the new Tempe Transportation Center
- July 27, 2009 - Deviation to Loloma Station eliminated
- January 25, 2010 - Southern end truncated back to Scottsdale Rd & McDowell Rd, using 74th St, Belleview St, Scottsdale Rd, and McDowell Rd to return to Miller Rd
- July 26, 2010 - Southern end rerouted again to loop around Miller Rd, McKellips Rd, Scottsdale Rd, and McDowell Rd instead
- July 25, 2011 - Route 76 replaced by the Miller Road Trolley
