History

Originally, route 29 was the Green Line until it was renamed to route 29 on December 29, 2008. At that time, the route traveled from Desert Sky Mall to Pima Park. On July 26, 2010, route 29 was extended westward to Thomas Rd & 93rd Ave due to the elimination of route 29A. On July 23, 2012, the turnarounds at 56th St and 93rd Ave were eliminated from the route.
