  • August 18, 1997 - The earliest known routing of route 50 traveled from Campbell Ave & 67th Ave, along Campbell Ave, 63rd Ave, then along Camelback Rd, Granite Reef Rd, and Chaparral Rd to Scottsdale Community College. Short trips traveled up 44th St to Colter St and weekend trips traveled down Hayden Rd, Indian School Rd, 82nd St, and back to Camelback Rd, ending at Hayden Rd
  • January 22, 2007 - Route 50 was temporarily rerouted onto Campbell Ave between 15th and 23rd Ave due to light rail construction
  • December 29, 2008 - When the light rail opened, route 50 returned to Camelback Rd
  • July 23, 2012 - Western end extended to Camelback Rd & 107th Ave, removing the Campbell terminus loop
  • October 26, 2015 - Eastern end truncated to Camelback Rd & Scottsdale Rd, with the new Camelback Trolley now covering that area
  • October 24, 2016 - Eastern end extended down Scottsdale Rd to Drinkwater Blvd & Scottsdale Rd
  • April 26, 2021 - Eastern end extended back to Scottsdale Community College along Camelback Rd, Granite Reef Rd, and Chaparral Rd
