- August 18, 1997 - The earliest known routing of route 592 traveled from the State Capitol, through Downtown Phoenix, onto Interstate 10, State Route 51, Shea Blvd, 24th St, Cactus Rd, and 7th St to Union Hills Dr
- March 1, 1998 - Route modified to serve the new Dreamy Draw Park and Ride at Shea Blvd & SR 51
- July 8, 2002 - Route modified to continue up 3rd St to Thomas Rd to access SR 51 to avoid backups at 7th St & I-10
- July 14, 2003 - Route eliminated and replaced by SR 51 RAPID and route 7L
