History

- March 1, 1993 - The Yellow, Blue, Green, and Red lines were introduced as part of a bus restructuring plan to directly serve major shopping, employment, and entertainment centers around the valley. Looking at the map to the right, it looks like the route began somewhere west of Peoria, along Grand Ave. From Peoria, the route continued along Grand Ave, down 19th Ave, and along Jefferson/Washington/Adams Streets, through Downtown Phoenix, and continuing on Washington St, then going into Downtown Tempe on Mill Ave and University Dr, ending at McAllister Ave & Tyler St. The Yellow Line also seemed to have an internal route number of 303.
- August 18, 1997 - Some time before this point, the western end of the route was truncated to the Peoria Community Center and potentially replaced by the Northwest Valley Grand route.
- February 24, 2003 - Rerouted to travel on Washington St between Priest Dr and Mill Ave instead of Center Pkwy
- October 14, 2003 - Yellow Line eliminated and replaced with route 1 and Grand Avenue Limited due to Grand Avenue reconstruction resulting in it and the parallel railroad no longer being able to accommodate bus stops
